Time to start gearing up for St. Patrick's Day! The best way to start preparing is to head over to Brian O'Neill's tonight, where Houston's only Stout Irish Rock Band, Blaggard's will perform. The music starts at 9:30 p.m. and it should be a fantastic show. Blaggard's performances feature traditional Irish music with a rock twist that draws influence from the likes of Johnny Cash, Thin Lizzy and Black Sabbath. They also do an amazing version of Folsom Prison Blues (just saying). Their style is typically compared to such bands as Flogging Molly, the Pogues and Dropkick Murphy's. Admission is free - so, ya have no excuse to miss this (unless the Rice Village is too far, or you are under 21).
